Work..Work..Work

October 29th, 2006 by edwinleonardi

A bit moody today…coz just went back from a nice holiday in Medan.
You know being in two different places in less than 2 hours…
350SGD was just worth it.
Enjoy lots of meals, snacks, and the ha..ha..ha hi..hi..hi with the family.
Got ulcers everywhere though.
Speaking about work, I haven’t kept up to date with the progress at the moment.
I just read through all the emails, and too lazy to bother scamming in details.
Guess, leave it to tomorrow and see what happen.
It’s going to be damn busy.

All that crap and shit…

Not a good day for me definitely.
I had my mobile phone stolen in SINGAPORE where people claim to be the safest country on earth (?).
It’s on me…My fault, putting it underneath the bench.Guess the "rat" easily sneaked my cheese.
Even so, I have to purchase one here..
Quite an emergency call due to the fact that I have no spare one.
But I gotta say I am proud to purchase my first mobile phone on my own account…:)
This has completed my second item lost this year.
I know it sounds such a cliche that sometimes you earn, and sometimes you gain loss.
This will never come any close to my nod.
Those things are not mine, and will not be mine.
They are my parents’.
You just borrow theirs and thankfully they have enough trust on you to put their investment.
So for me, it’s a very very personal matter.
Not with the AMIOUNT I am pissed off here, well ok, that could be the secondary reason.
But ultimately I just lost what they have earned.
This is so funny, coz it’s been years I have been thinking how to save the cost when I am still hangin’ on them.
Every legacy is to be kept. Every….
Mobile phone is A LEGACY. He3x!

Big Spender

October 8th, 2006 by edwinleonardi

I finished up my homework of filling in the daily fees of mine.
The graphic :) shows that it’s getting higher each month…
Can not handle it well..
It’s just shocking that I could spend 25 bucks for dining, the second most expensive since the No Signboard meal.
Should not I be saving ?hehehe
I just can not resist the temptations to have fun at this point in my life.
Plus those thoughts on how to save my money would eventually stack the mind.
This week I have to figure out what to bring back to Medan..
It’s not wise to be back with empty handed. One of my colleagues suggested herbal tea or cookies.
They are certainly found in Chinatown area. This will be the target for next week weekend.
Keep the good virtue!!!!

Happy Birthday To Me

October 1st, 2006 by edwinleonardi

This is the second time I celebrated my birthday without my family..
Looking back two years ago, I was about to join the Nottingham campus two days after my birthday.
That is when I received the letter of the admission offer from the uni and also
that is when I purchased new cell phone and got robbed 4 months later.
Feels like it was just not a long time ago.
This year on the same 30th
I purchased a flight ticket back to indon for hari raya holidays..I considered it as my bday gift though it’s my own money pocket. :) Lots of wishes from family and friends..Very very good wishes, appreciate it…
Nothing can trade the joy gathering with the whole family, tasting the local food, and my Mom’s specialties of course.
It’s ok coz I got my cash 2 days afterwards.
Office been a bit busy, for em and everyone, we are going towards the end of a huge massive project by the end of this year. Kinda grateful though the company was willing to grant 4 days-leave.
Yep..I’ll be leaving on 20 of Oct evening til 29.
Will hate the 29 then..
Will make use of the opportunity PRE-it

Not an ordinary week

September 22nd, 2006 by edwinleonardi

People are only nice to us when they are up to something.
Saw some samples lately. You think I was a little rat back then, don’t you ???
Well, guess what…it’s just unbelievable !
This week is not an ordinary week.
Starting from Last Monday, I knew my task is getting heavier and heavier.
I am gaining pros and cons as well.
The experience does not come cheap. The sacrifice does not have to come expensive as well.
No movie session this week as my friend was willing to treat us a fine dining in Outram Park.
What’s the occasion ?
Hahaha…!!!
On Thursday, all colleagues went out for sport recreation in Carnhill.
A badminton game…I have not practiced it for quite sometime. Can’t recall the last time I enjoyed the game.
Most prob would be with the CSIT group @ sport center in Uni
Yesterday, the mandarin class was cancelled. My tutor had to shop for his family in China.
He’s going back to see his new-born baby this Sunday. He’s leaving for two weeks, so the class pends for the same interval.
All the best for him, anyway!
Good to know that Survivor and Grey’s Anatomy start premiere for their new seasons.
And just can’t wait for Heroes !!! yay!!!

Canonball

Last week I assumed things to be ok. Now it’s like back to square one.
I am not referring to my position, but it’s indeed the atmosphere when I started working within the first 3 weeks.
Someone tells it differently, it’s not supposed to be my call, but for my colleague’s left over task.
Sure to gain benefits, Not sure to handle any problems along the way.
That makes the last friday commenced my first day stationed out of the office.

Saturday as usual we went out to Orchard. Awan had to settle his internet banking problem.
Followed by a regular basketball exercise. I am just starting to enjoy the game.
Went to McDonald for supper, spent a long time recalling our days together.
Interesting to acknowledge how much you have changed.

Some agenda to make:
My passport is going to expire in 5 months. I have to go for renewal to the embassy.
The working hours for the service is only available from Mon to Fri 9 -12 a.m, most likely have to ask for 1 hour off next week.

Half weekend passed…Here comes Monday…Our ‘lovely’ day,esp tomorrow is the MORNday…bloody terrorists!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A ghost sat on you ?

August 29th, 2006 by edwinleonardi

Just read an article to dig out what has been haunted for years.
Well, I told you the symptoms that I have suffered numerous times.
"You are very tired, You know you are going to dreamland any minute.
But hey, what happened ? You could still think, your body did not respond. AT ALL.
You couldn’t move ur leg, couldn’t roll ur eyes, couldn’t speak out.
You couldn’t stop being panic, couldn’t pretend nothing’d happened.
You heard voices…evil whispering to your eyes.
You heard a loud laughter from nowhere.
Anyway you realized u had to do something.
You tried and tried..
Shaking your head, moving your arms or toes…
Then you were freed.
You would feel like losing breath"

Well that’s pretty much the details or I could say the repetition of bad bad episodes.
For years, I have made myself believe that a ghost actually sat on me, at least this was grabbed when I discussed it with my parents.
Apparently, there is a scientific explanation for this.
It is called "sleep paralysis"
There are numerous causes that could trigger this event.
But I rather not to have it with you.
So for those who share the same experience as I do,
if you haven’t bothered to find out what actually this scary thing, ehm..like I told you..there is no supernatural reason behind it.
if you never experience this, I just have to say..you better don’t.
You never know that the hallucination can bring you not to the level of hearing strange voices..
but as what I read, you even could see things you do not wish to "see".
Though it’s just a hallucination, you can differentiate whether "the body" sleeps next to you is real or not

Back to basic

August 22nd, 2006 by edwinleonardi

I am waiting for the next 15 minutes to have lunch.
I had a small chat with my roommates yesterday.
I felt that working is very different from when you studied in university.
You always knew when your study would be going to finish, when was ur graduation and so on.
But when you are in the working environment, you do not have any clue what is going to happen on the next day.
This is an example shown when my roommate(s) had or have to look for another job by the cause of their company closure.
Like today, I have been transferred from my previous task to others. Again can’t say whether this is of benefit or not.
You just have to face it.
One thing that is certain is that you always love the night shower, dinner, and go back home watching downloaded series.Hehehe!
I was way far compared to my father when he was on my age.
Back in those times, I guaranteed he was triple times more productive than me.
That really is a lesson to learn, to know that things do not come easily

Geylang Sipatu Geylang

Woah..woah..
I am extremely tired and is about to close my eyes anytime now.
But it’s damn still early..10:33
I always have my sleep at 1 or above.
Today we shifted to a new house at Aljunied. Though it is a bit far from my workplace but it’s the best and convenient for any of us going to work.
It is huge, can accomodate 6 people..I guess or even more.
Got kitchen set, two bathrooms, wonderful scenery, far beyond our expectation of getting it with a reasonable price.
Thanks to our Agent though, We feel owing them a lot, also for today’s dinner..hehehe!!
I just finished my company’s project and is about to be deployed within this week.
Well, this is kinda crucial for me.Just hope that the code really works as required. At least this could lift me up after so many unexpected things happened to me lately..
I think Singapore is too harsh for her people. You can observe them varying in ages work pretty hard.
For example, on last saturday, on my way to MOM, I encountered many teenagers of 11-15 stopping by pedestrians for a donation. At one point, this is very very very scarce in Indonesia, esp for the Chinese Indonesian.
I admire their willingess and consciousness of the importance of earning something for somebody.
That’s just too nobel..
And of course they had my contribution that day.
After my 2 months stay in Singapore, I have drawn a conclusion that Singaporean are more mature than the Malaysian and Indonesian, from their way of dressing to the way of speaking like adults. Way matured civilizations!!

The Adventure

August 4th, 2006 by edwinleonardi

Wat a week..
I have never been this busy since I have started working…
Given a new task….and only one to do it..
A lot of people to ask..too much questions that most of them shouldn’t be
I know that there is a silver lining behind all of these, especially priceless experience and working environment.

People are not aware of the fact that they were zero once.
Zero…..Zero……Zero
I am planning to move to 1 now..
I am in 0.3 at the moment, so that will take few weeks ahead.

There is so much thing happen in a day…
If u stay at home all the time, you might not know the real world.
The real world where all characteristics bond in a small venue.
Could be tolerable or not.
Like my bro’s saying, it takes you a year to know WHO is WHO,and WHAT is WHAT.
Till that time comes…
